The 2025 JTL Media & Design Competition Winners

Since 2006, Mr. Toth's Media Design students have attended the Media and Design competition where they compete in six different media and design categories, showing off their tech skills against students from other schools in the Monroe and Northampton county areas.  These skilled areas include; Logo and Graphic Design, Digital Movie, 3D Print and Design, Animation, Programming, and Webpage Design. This year, JTL entered twenty projects in a field full of tough competitors. In the end, Mr. Toth's students did not disappoint winning multiple awards in all six categories. The first place awards in each category get to compete in the state competition which is a place where our Media Design students really shine.

In Programming, an automatic controlled desk fan called, the Whirlwind, won a second place. This was programmed and designed by Nick, Jason, and Tareq.

In Graphic and Logo Design, Capture Your Creativity was created by Claire and Kellan and received third place. Caroline's Electrifying A Way Forward was designed by Caroline and won a second place award.

In the Animation category, an animation created by Harold won a second place award with an amazing animation called The Impacts of Plastic Pollution.

In 3D Print & Design, the Deck Digger created by Chris, Diego, and Orion took first place. This product helps clean off the space between decking materials on homes to make spring cleaning easy.

In Webpage Design, JTL took home two awards. In second place, Cameron, Daren, and Destiny created a website for Jay's Limousine Service, which explained the details of a local business. In first place, Dante and Liam created a website called A warm welcome to JTL to show off the things new students should know about coming to our school. It is a resource page for students, but also a great way to make students feel welcome and that they belong at JTL.

In Digital Movie, JTL took home the first place award with the movie titled First Day Jitters. This was a great movie created by Camila, Trinity, and Elyse, which will be used to show incoming 6th grade students the JTL building. Its purpose is to make new students to JTL less worried about the day to day hustle and bustle of our building.

All students winning their respective categories will be headed to the state level competition on Wednesday, May 21st at Elizabethtown College.

The students want to thank their chaperones, Mr. Toth, Mr. Del Vecchio, Mrs. Shemansky, Mr. Labar and Mrs. Burns for helping everyone get to the competition and to set up. Congratulations to Mr. Toth and his students on the awards won in every category and the fun time had by all.
